January 2nd

Its been another terribly exciting day.

I was up late last night due to that whole new New Years eve thing, and some more Ninja Gaiden. I got up early this morning, played some Dance Dance Revolution, then napped until 2. We went to Apple Bees (a celebration of medicore) for lunch, then to Gina's sister's house for a couple hours of chaos.

Then we came home and watched Shaun of the Dead, a great movie.

We put Spiderman 2 on after that, but I didn't pay too much attention. I kept myself busy with other stuff. After that, I spent the wee hours cleaning up my desk and paying some of those nagging bills.

Starting at 2am, I tried to find a way to sell our timeshare. Does anyone want one? We don't use it effectively, so its becoming a waste of money.

I spoke with the parental units at some point. The male of the two states that they're going to try to visit, probably the first week of January. I'll have to schedule a bath before then.

The tree and Christmas lights are still up. We probably should've taken them down this weekend, but I was too busy being lazy. Speaking of which, I'm into level 4 of Ninja Gaiden. Its getting a bit harder. I have to fight 3 fellas at the Clock Tower, and so far they've prevailed.

A friend recommended the Chronicles of Riddick game. Maybe that'll be next.

For those of you who don't know me, don't think I'm obsessed with video games. I've just been bored lately, and I use that to fill the gaps between work and DVDFriend.us and sleeping. I've played more games in the last few weeks than I have in years... and Splinter Cell 3 is coming out soon, so that'll have to be dealt with.

Anyway, back to Ninja Gaiden. I think my ninja training in japan is actually helping me with the game. You wouldn't think that being an actual ninja assasin, as i am, would translate into video game skills, but somehow it does.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year, boys and girls.

I know most of you are probably curious about the progress I've made in Ninja Gaiden. When last we spoke, I indicated that I would spend time trying to beat the boss at the end of level 2. Surprisingly, I pulled it off, and managed to get some sleep before work. It took me many tries to beat the boss at the end of level 1, but apparently I'm getting better.

I then started level 3, and finished it tonight. It probably took 12 times to defeat the boss. Aside from the bosses, the game just isn't very hard yet.

So that New Years thing is upon us once again. Whoopy doo. We celebrated by getting crappy meals at The Original Steakhouse, then watching the Aviator. We were home by 11:30 to watch the last hour of commercialization. I couldn't watch any channel for more than a couple minutes at a time. Whenever they cut to Ashlee Simpson, I had to look away. You know that was probably filmed weeks ago, and I don't really care about what she (or any other celebrity) has to say. Regis sounded like he was having a hard time from 11:59 to 12:00, trying to think of stuff to say.

Driving home from the theater, there was a sign on the highway "don't drink and drive". Do we really need a sign for that? Why not a sign that reads: "Don't hit people in the head with blunt objects" while we're at it? Furthermore, if someone is going to insist on having a sign, maybe it should be closer to where people park, and not on the highway. "If you can read this sign, you're already driving, so this is moot".

Let's see... what else happened today.... I can't think of much. Get up. Work. Crappy meal at the Original Steak House. Aviator. Sign on Highway. New Years. Ninja Gaiden. Blog update. Bed (assumed).

First Blog Entry

Greetings

I started this blog on November 27th, and lost interest by November 28th. However, I've recently been inspired by the work on another blog, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I thought I'd start by commenting on the excessive number of empty water bottles now scattered across my desk. It leads me to believe that in order to get rid of the water bottles, I'm going to have to make a better salary so that I can hire a maid to take care of them. Otherwise, if this keeps up, I'm going to have to get a 27 inch monitor just so that I can see a reasonable portion of the screen behind the growing collection.

Speaking of water bottles, did anyone see the Scrubs repeat Tuesday night? Not the best episode, but the janitor's squirrel collection was pretty funny. That's a good, yet distubing, character.

As I type this, I'm installing the Thunderbird mail client. It has been importing outlook settings for 20 minutes now. At what point should I decide that its probably not working, and kill it?

Speaking of killing, there still aren't any cops poking around my house after that "incident" last weekend. As crazy as it sounds, I may have gotten away with it. In a related story, I think its only common sense for me to stay away from Toys R Us for the forseeable future.

I had planned on working on DVDFriend.us this evening, but that plan went the way of the dodo. Now my goal is to simply get to bed at a semi reasonable hour, but the prerequsites include completion of the thunderbird install, and enough game time on Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) to get frustrated with the boss at the second level.

Friday November 26th
Didn't sleep as late as I would've liked. James was supposed to meet us at the villa at 9am, but he decided not to show up.

Went to the Arabian Nights dinner show. Dinner wasn't great (Gina didn't bother touching hers), but the show was fun. I got lots of video, and a picture of us.

Left the villa at 8:02am est.
Found and got on the Florida Turnpike at 8:35am
Drove from Orlando to Lantana, obeying traffic laws that were convenient to me
